Letter from the Chief Nursing Officer

Tracey Smithson, CNODear Nursing Colleagues, Friends and Community Members,

I am pleased to invite you to celebrate the success of Medical City North Hills. As a Pathway to Excellence® designated hospital through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), our accomplishments are impressive and impactful, and leave me once again marveling in the beautiful, essential and exciting profession we have in nursing.

We are engaging nurses at every level of the organization to transform healthcare and deliver integrated, seamless, and patient-centered quality care across the care continuum. Nursing’s role in coordinating care is guided by our nursing professional practice model – emphasizing the nurse as scientist, leader, and practitioner. In collaboration with our patients, families, physicians, and members of the inter-professional care team we continue to work for improved health, efficient care delivery and cost effective care for the communities we serve. Download the letter to read more.

2014 - 2017 Strategic Plan for Nursing

Transformational Nursing

Medical City North Hills has adopted The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® as our nursing leadership framework.  (The Leadership Challenge, Kouzes and Posner, 1995)
