Xavier Villarreal, CEO of Medical City North Hills, has been selected to join the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) Board of Trustees, effectively immediately.

Villarreal will be joined by other new trustees, Will Daniel, MD, and Esmaeil Porsa, MD, of UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Health & Hospital System, respectively.

The DFWHC unites industry leaders to advance quality healthcare in the region.

Villarreal joins a board of 15 esteemed North Texas hospital executives, including Charles Gressle, CEO of Medical City Plano. The DFWHC unites industry leaders to advance quality healthcare in the region. Three board members, including Villarreal, are new to the board.

Villarreal assumed his CEO position at Medical City North Hills in 2016 and has almost 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. Villarreal was formerly the vice president and chief operating officer of CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline and Memorial Hospitals in Corpus Christi. Prior to CHRISTUS, he served for seven years as the CEO of Navarro Regional Hospital, a 162-bed acute care hospital in Corsicana, and as COO at Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene.
